As a full time Bel Mar Shores resident since 1996, I know what makes this neighborhood special. I still believe Bel Mar Shores is a "sleeper" of a neighborhood.
-
We are tucked away and isolated from cut-through traffic which is a common and worsening problem in so many South Tampa neighborhoods.
-
We have 2 traffic lights to help gain access to busy Westshore Boulevard which we know is only going to become more difficult as major developments arise to our south.
-
We have a great mix of residents who socialize with each other and watch out for each others property as well.
-
According to the Tampa Police Department we are in one of the lowest crime areas of all of Tampa! (see for yourself)
-
We have experienced a nice rate of appreciation over the last 10 years.
CommunityWalk Map - South Tampa Neighborhoods
Bel Mar Shores was developed in the mid 1950's and features many concrete block ranch style homes that were popular in Florida during that time period. The neighborhood also features some direct bayfront homes on Beach Drive as well as canalfront homes on Spring Lake Drive and Euclid Avenue. Many of the waterfront homes are newer having been replaced in recent years.
